I apologise… I though I said there wouldn’t be too many more photos of roses. I just happened to come across a few more megabytes of data and had to show them. The title should give it away i.e.- meltdown, starting to fall apart or maybe its just tied in with previous titles. I’ll let you work that out!

Another great rose is Golden Celebration which was bred by David Austin. I had a row of standards of these at a previous garden and they were always spectacular. Reason enough to feature it again in my current garden. To me its one of those must have plants. Check out these photos.

Once again it’s that time of year when my Roses are looking fantastic, especially this year with all the rain we have had and no blistering days to scorch the blooms. Normally by now they are starting to fade, but not this year. Hold on to your seats and enjoy, “it’s going to be a bumpy ride”!
Without a doubt one of the most popular Crab Apples available would be Malus ioensis ‘Plena’, also known as the Bechtel Crab Apple. Here’s why!!
Another thing we did in Alice Springs was visit the National Road Transport Hall of Fame. This incorporates the National Road Transport Hall of Fame, the Old Ghan Train Railway Museum and the Kenworth Dealer Truck Museum which collectively make quite an impressive museum. According to its website its “the most comprehensive land transport museum in the southern hemisphere”. It was interesting reading about the old Ghan Railway and seeing some of the old trains. We then moved to the Road transport section which we debated whether it was worth looking at. We were glad that we decided to have a look. There was plenty to see. Hope you enjoy the photos.
