Salvia aethiopis

Hardy biennial Salvia from a wide range of Europe, Western Asia and North Africa with silver-grey/green leaves about 30cm long.  Leaves have finely toothed margins.  This Salvia will grow to about 60cm wide with small white flowers in summer rising from the rosette of leaves.  Likely to die after flowering in its second year.  Not letting it set seed may prolong its life.  Requires well-drained conditions and is drought and frost tolerant.
